| This ministry is held during the 5:00 P.M. Mass froom October through May. Children in grades kindergarten through fourth are sent forth from the church with a blessing to our clubroom. There the children listen and respond to the Gospel story of the day. Their responses include discussion, drawing or prayer. After the homily is over in church, the students are brought back into church in time to participate in bringing up the gifts. This includes music, readings, environment, and other aspects of liturgy. The liturgy committee works with the pastor on scheduling, training and formation of the various ministries within the liturgical framework, including Ministers of Communion, Lectors/Readers, Ushers, and Altar Servers. The committee coordinates the planning of the major Eucharistic celebrations of the year including Advent, Christmas, Lent, Easter, Pentecost, etc., as well as evaluating liturgy celebrations. The committee is made up of the Parish Priest, Deacon, Music Director along with a group of parishoners. The committee meets once a month on a Saturday morning in the parish rectory. Marian Visitors endeavor to reach out to all parishioners who are in hospitals, care facilities, retirement homes, or who are unable to come to church to receive the Holy Eucharist. Some recipiants are lonely, some are elderly, some are too ill, some are unable to leave home long enough to make it to Mass each Sunday. The Marian Visitors meet after Mass on the 4th Friday of the month to coordinate our visitations.
